The laborers who do extreme hard works

I don't know if this expresses the right meaning of what I'm trying to convey,

I meant to describe those who do extremely bitter and labor-taking hard works and gain only very little pay for their jobs,

such as janitors or restaurant dish washers and alike.

How do you describe them with a short expression/term?

Thanks in advance for you answer!:)

Hi, People who work with their hands are sometimes called 'blue-collar workers'. Or you might say ' minimum-wage workers ', if your country has minimum wage laws. Clive

You could also say "manual laborers."
