the judge/the father

He forgot the judge because of the father.
Assuming that he is a judge and a father, can you say this to mean something like 'he forgot his duty as a judge because of his paternal love'?

Thank you, Clive!
Not even in literary style?
And how about this one then?
She felt the mother at the sight of the baby.
(to mean that she felt maternal love)

In literary style, a writer has a lot of freedom to express himself/herself.
If you establish a suitable context to help the reader, your first sentence might work.

I'm very doubtful about the second one. Much more natural is eg She felt maternal at the sight of the baby.
