The issue/matter looks serious

Philip, I have just been told that some people want to talk to us to report about an incident. The issue/matter looks serious to me. I want you (to) go, meet them and listen to what they have to say. Give them a patient hearing. And don't forget to note down every details of their story. Take a camera with you and take their photographs.

Any mistakes or rooms for improvement? Does the third sentence need a "to" after "I want to"?

Thanks both of you, N the B and MM.

MM,

Could you please give me a few tips on the compound and complex sentence or any website address where I can learn in some details about the subject?

If you know the definitions of compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences, then that is all you need to know how about them (and if not, just Google the terms). Mix them in with your simple sentences. As it is you are mostly just using a series of simple sentences.
