The Internet has brought significant changes to our lives in recent years. However, there remains arguments as to whether these changes are negative or not for the reason that obesity, near-sighted or alienation have been rising since the Internet was applied. Still, I strongly believe the pros far outweight the cons.
Firstly, it is undeniable fact that cyberspace facilitates social interaction. Isolation from community is only triggered by overusing. So as long as we keep our Internet accessibity in limited time, we will harvest positive effects rather than drawbacks. Social media like facebook or twitter is an ideal place to make friends with people from all walks of life. Instead of keep sorrow or happiness in your heavy heart, people are able to share them with the help of the Internet.
Equally importantly, books is no longer the only source to collect information, but with just a click of a button, everything is at your fingertips. Millions of news or knowledge are uploaded daily. Without the Internet, we are probably find coping with social trend difficult. Though citizens in Asia live the other side of the globe, they still know what is happening in the United States.
By way of conclusion, I reaffirm that the Internet does have positive effects as it is a means of bonding relationship and broadening our horizons.
