The interjection PLEASE

I've just looked up in the dictionary and found out that:
"Please" is not also used when you politely ask sb to do st, but also when you accept sb's advice
=> It's strange to me Emotion: stick out tongue

I don't think so. What is the actual wording in your dictionary? Maybe it means when you ask for advice?

My Dictionary shows 2 conservations following:

1.
- Can u help me ?
- Please. (=> "Please" means: Im pleased to help you)

2.
- Would u like some coffee ?
- Yes, please. (=> "Please" means: I accept and thank you).

WHAT DO U THINK ?

Aha, in this example they are not accepting advice, they are accepting an offer in a way that is almost a request. Yes (I would like some coffee) please.

I find their first definition quite strange. I can just about imagine it being used in a few contexts but it is still pretty odd. Not what you would usually say.
