Hello.
Are the following sentences grammatically correct?
"The incident made it very difficult for Tim to fall asleep. He could sleep just for a couple of hours because of the exhaustion of the last events"
Thanks.
The first sentence is grammatical and natural. The second is grammatical but unnatural (not native).

Dear AlpheccaStars: First of all, thanks for your help.
He could sleep three hours because he was exhausted in relation of the last events"
More natural grammar would be:
"He was only able to sleep for a couple of hours because the previous events had exhausted him."
However, "exhausted" may not be the right word. When you are exhausted, you usually sleep well.
