Is 'iconoclast' clear and correct in this sentence? It is describing August Comte.

The use of "iconoclast" is correct (assuming, obviously, it has the right meaning for what you want to say). "impulsion for ... to be assented ..." isn't right. "geography’s ... revolution to transform geography" is awkward. I think you mean "idiographic".
