If I were a dog's tail, what is the I-can-breathe-easily angle relative to the dog's snout at rest do I have to be in order to avoid being chewed by the dog?
Sorry, but is the above sentence ok? I would like to keep the I-can-breathe-easily or a similar adjective if possible. Thanks. I find it hard to express some uncommon ideas.

The following would be okay:
"If I were a dog's tail, what angle, relative to his snout, can I be at, when at rest, so that I can breathe easily, knowing he can't chew on me?"
