The housing shortage in big cities can cause severe social consequences. Some people think only government action can solve this problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the above statement?

In modern society, the lack house apartments is an insurmountable problem in many parts of the world. Some people claim that only the intervention of government can tackle this issue. In my opinion, I wholly disagree with this opinion, and this essay will analyze my point view about it.

On the one hand, the authority’s part in dealing with the housing shortage is disputable. To begin, the expense of accommodations in the city is too extravagant that people cannot afford one. This can be done by authority establish public housing projects for low-income families. Through this action, people who are struggling to pay for rent house can finance with affordable housing price. Another incentive worth mentioning is that government should encourage companies to move their business to rural areas, creating more properties for constructing house apartments.

Nevertheless, the responsibility of individual are more necessary, compared to government action. It is true that trend of migrating from rural areas to metropolitan areas gain popularity these days. One measure is that people may opt for live in another cities, instead living in big cities like Hanoi capital or Ho Chi Minh to avoid lacking of housing. An example of this idea is dwellers could live in Da Nang city where provides full facilities that still remaining demand living conditions. In addition, it is essential for each household to carry out family planning. To be specific, each family should give birth at most two children to evade overpopulation, adding to preclude the housing shortage.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that government action could cope with the housing shortfall. However, I firmly believe that individual presents a gold key in tackling this problem.
