The higher the stage you clear, the more fun you'll get!

The higher the stage you clear, the more fun you'll get!

I have seen it in a textbook and I was wondering if the following one is more correct?

The higher stage you clear, the more fun you'll get!

Or
The first one is an omitted version in 'The higher the stage that you clear is, the more fun you'll get!'?

What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance!

The higher stage you clear, the more fun you'll get! No. '?

  • The higher stage you clear, the more fun you'll get!
  • No.
  • '?
  • Nothing is really omitted, but that is a good paraphrase.
  • The main problem with the sentence, as far as I'm concerned, is its use of 'get' instead of 'have'.

The higher the stage you clear . . .

To me, the verb 'clear' does not seem idiomatic here. I suggest 'complete'.
