The percentage of the older people aged 65 and over in Japan was the least in three countries with 5%. The was a slightly drop between 1940 and 1980 then the figure climbed to 5% again in 2000. The percentage is predicted that it will remarkably rocket to 10% and 27% in 2020 and 2040 respectively.
In 2040, the proportion of population aged 65 and over will soar around 25% in all three countries.
