The line diagram represents how many visitors and where they stayed when they travelled on Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017. As is observed, it is evident from the graph that the total amount of tourists was an upward trend throughout the timeframe. Furthermore, vacationers were more interested in staying on the island than on the cruise ship.
From 2010 to 2011, while vacationers on cruise liners turned out to be a twofold increase, those who stayed on the island remained static and stood at 0.5 millions and 1 millions respectively in 2011. In the next five years, The figures for passengers staying on the island went up and fluctuated at the same level at 1.5 millions until the end of time surveyed. In the meantime, although visitors staying on cruise ships dropped at 0.25 millions people in 2012, it continued to rise back more dramatic and plateaued at 2 millions visitors in 2017.
As a result, the total number of tourists began at 1 million in 2010 and significantly increased in the next five years, prior to becoming a constant approximately at 2.75 millions visitors in 2016. In 2017, the upward trend boomed sharply again to reach 3.5 millions, which was over triple compared to the beginning.
