Overall, the Europeans began with the middle amount of grain being traded abroad, however reached the top in the end of 1990. By contrast, Canada took their first step as the highest and increased to the largest number in 1988 , yet utterly came as the second.

To have a more detailed look, the Canadians experienced a fluctuated 5-year time of their wheat production overseas with the beginning of approximately 20 million tones, then took a slight fall in 1986 but dramatically rose again until it achieved 25 million tones. Nevertheless, from 1988 to 1989 wheat exports declined remarkably to less than 15 million then ended up returning to their initial place.
