Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the contribution of agriculture and manufacturing saw a downward trend over the period while business and financial services dramatically increased and was highest in 2000.
Looking at the details, as regards agriculture, the contriniton was the hit highest , nearly 50% in 1900 and slightly rose more 50% in 1950. However, the figure for agriculture sharply dropped and fell to a low about 5% in 2000. In addition, manufacturing saw sharply decreases from 45% to 15% in the same period.
By contrast, in 1900 business and financial services only reached nearly 5% , and it rose marginally to approximately 10% in 1950 and largely contributed to the UK economy at around 38% in the year 2000.
