Overall, it can be seen that the rate of British people saw a downward trend over the period shown, while the proportion of Asia and other regions showed an upward trend.
The percentage of people who were born in the UK went down slightly from 13 percent to 10 percent from 1976 to 1986. There was a moderate drop of 5 percent in the percentage of people living in Australia who were born in the UK from 1986 to 2011. On the other hand, a gradual rise was seen in the percentage of Asia people from 3 percent to 7 percent from 1976 to 1996.
