Overall, what stands out from the graph is that even though there were an upward trend in total, Asia and the others; meanwhile, the rate of the UK in Australia was the smallest one.
From 1976 to 2001, the population in Australia decreased slightly by three percent , before this figure rose up significantly and reached a peak of 25%. As regards Asia, the percentage of Asians was smallest in 1976 but it surged in 2011, at 2,5 to 15 % respectively, overtaking the figure for the UK
In contrast, the proportion of British who lived in Australia was much higher than Asia ; however, this rate decreased rapidly by around 10% from 1976 to 2011, becoming the lowest one in 2011. The percentage of people who came from the other countries fluctuated , reaching a peak of 14% in 2006 after which it went down to around 12% in 2011.
