It is argued by some that the government should allocate their budget to public services rather than spending on the arts while others believe that it is right to invest in the latter. I disagree with the statement as both investments are important to our society.
According to some people who believe that its waste of money to spend on the arts, the public service would help them in their life such as better hospitals, good schools, and comfortable public transportations. Besides, they also believe education and health are more beneficial than the arts. For instance, if a hospital has all high technique equipment for diagnostic purposes then doctors can treat them faster and thoroughly. If the government invests in more metro lines, they can easily go anywhere from downtown to the suburbs.
Despite of the above fact, I still believe that some recreational activities like music and drama remain in society. These activities are important for everyone's life because they release stress, help them get out of problems, sometimes. One day, sitting in the open fresh air and enjoying music, people can free their mind and recover their energy easily. Moreover, music can help a child with more concentration, moderation while art helps them create in their future when they join social life.
In conclusion, I can confidently state that the government should invest more in public service, however, I do not believe that financial funding for futuristic parts is a total waste.
