The government announced that it would start the event yesterday.
The government announced that it would start the event yesterday.
Is the sentence unnatural to use?
I think that yesterday should modify announced to make sense or should it modify start because modifying must happen to the cloesest one all the time?
Or could you give me good example sentences?
