The god of small things

I just read this book and now I'm interested to know if someone else has read this book. This wasn't the easiest book to read due to the fact that I'm not a native English speaker and Indian culture isn't my cup of tea. However, I'm at the moment exceedingly satisfied with this book. Although, it was a bit boring at some point for me perhaps due to my "young" age, nevertheless, it still was an interesting book with some quite shocking and flabbergasting parts. Therefore, I recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a new book to read. Everyone else who has read this book, feel free to write something about it; maybe we can even have a tiny discussion about it.

  • I know- one friend of mine wanted to throw this book just away, because she didn't understand, how can happen so terrable things with people?

I think Arundhati Roy is a talented author. The story was very well written even though some parts were quite shocking and scandalising to read. The book might take two readings in order for the reader to understand it well enough.
