While I was writing an essay I couldn't decide that whether I should add an article before "global warming" or not. However, on the majority of online articles, it has been used without an article. My question is whenever we talk about global warming, we could realise that we are talking about environmental pollution and deforestation. I mean, there is only one global warming in the Earth. That's why I though "global warming" should be followed by "the". However, it seems as though I was wrong in that view. Therefore, please someone tell me whether we should add "the" before "global warming" and if we should, I would really appreciate it if someone could let me know what is the reason for that.
