The Frost,sometimes it makes the blade stick

i cannot understand why the stick we cannot include 's',example 'sticks' because the blade is singular.Because what i know if the subject is singular,the verb shoulb be singular form.I undestand the the 's' added to word such a makes because the subject is referrinf to frost which is one.But i just cannot undestand the 'stick' part.Please help me to solve this problem

"Stick" is a verb here, as in "sticky."

The blade is stuck. I can't get it out/free. (adjective)

I think the meaning of "Stick" here meant to be the wooden stick. As a frozen sword does not work and similar to wooden stick
