The Form Or The Forms

Hello everyone,

Is either "form" or "forms" is correct in the following sentence?

You haven't caught a bird yet, but you bought a lot of birds. The form/forms of sentences are present perfect and past simple active.

P.S. I think "forms" is correct, and we need "the" before "sentences".

Regards,

Joseph
