There are plenty of observations that have been made drinking tea has lots of benefits but there is no any evidence that high intakes of tea are protective in humans.

can we use the word "protective" exclusively ( without followed by a noun) to describe any non living thing ? AS far as I know, protective can be used exclusively only to describe humans - eg, he is PROTECTIVE towards his brother etc...please enlighten me
