The flake-falling tents of light

BUt not for long, Snowballs fly out of the darkness, through the flake-falling tents of light, back into darkness.

Hi,

Does "through the flake-falling tents of light" in the above refer to "through the bright flake-falling sky?" Thanks.

Hi, That seems to be the general idea, but 'tents of light' suhggests that only small areas of the sky are bright. It sounds to me like a night scene. Clive
