THE FIRST PERSON TO SAY THAT and PROFILE

Does this make sense please?

1 Don't ever tell me that drinking is bad. I'm the first person to think that./say that.
2 Putting braces on will make your profile change./has caused your profile to change. (If you had an overbite before and no longer have one because you no longer have protruding teeth, can you say it has cause your profile to change.

Thank you

alc24 1 Don't ever tell me that drinking is bad. I'm the first person to think that./say that. To be natural, or idiomatic, you should tone down the warning. It's too strong for the way the second expression is used. ("Don't ever do something" is sort of a rude, threatening admonition.)
