The given charts illustrate how Australian use their energy in different purpose and gas emissions rate calculated from the energy.
Overall, most Australian household spend the major energy in heating, but the activities that release the most gas emissions is water heating.
According to the first graph, heating consumed the most amount of energy use, accounted for 42% and the second one was water heating at 30%. The third position that belonged to other appliances at 15%. In addition, this was followed by the percentage of refrigeration and lighting at 7% and 4% respectively.
From the second graph, it is obviously that water heating result 32% of gas emissions, nearly one-third of the total discharge. Heating process was the major used the energy but it releases a small amount of gas, at only 15%. Compare with the first paragraph, the percentage for lighting, refrigeration, and other appliances was almost doubled, while that for cooling approximately do not have any changes.
