I simply mean the fight and war between them increased. but i don't want to say it so simple. so i used the word "fire" as we use it in our language.

The problem with "fire" is that that's what we call gunfire, the discharge of firearms of all kinds. "Flame" is better if you want to wax poetical. The flames of war flared up between them.
