The fee

Hi,

Let's say I charge a few for loaned books that are returned late. It's $0.25. Can I say:

"You will only be charged the fee if you don't return your book on time".

Is the definite article "the fee" natural? (There's only one, it's $0.25).

Thank you.

Is it $0.25 if you return one book one day late, and also $0.25 if you return three books two weeks late?
