The farther back you look into your life, the more..

Hi

Do you find the following (yellow) sentence grammatically correct?

The farther back you look into your life, the more depressing it becomes.

and could you please correct the mistakes (grammatical or any) in the following explanation?

[the speaker means to say that it becomes depressing as one starts to think about his past life and keeps going further beyond in his "review"]

Many thanks,

Tom

Thanks, MM

Should I write review in inverted commas or no need? "review"

Probably unnecessary, but it's fine with them.

Hi. What is the difference?

Your sentence:

All seems well, Tom.

and this:

All seems good, Tom.

I think that, after a stative verb like "seem," the word "good" is normally used.

Thank you for your anticipated help.

'All is well', for whatever reason, is a common English idiom; 'all is good' is not.
