The fact that....

Hi from Istanbul,

I have a question from noun clause beginning with the fact that....


1. Ann was late. That didn't surprised me.
The fact that Ann was late didn't surprise me

I can do these type of exercises.But I couldn't combine these sentences with "the fact that..."


2. I'm a little tired. I feel fine except for that.

3. Natasha didn't pass the entrance examination. She was not admitted to the university


4. I was supposed to bring my passport to the examination for identification. I was not aware of that.

Let me try,

I was supposed to bring my passport to the examination for identification. I was not aware of that.

I wasn't aware of the fact that I was supposed to bring my passport to the examination for identification.

How on earth couldn't I see the word "that" in these sentences?
