The evaluation to the essay

Last night I was completely free of tasks so I decided to have movie night and spend it with my dearest sister. At first we had a conflict deciding which movie to watch “Temple grandin “or “Frankie and Alice”. However, we finally settled on watching them both. “Frankie and Alice” was somehow similar to Temple grandin’s idea, but yet they had varieties too.

According to my prospective, the movies had three aspects in common. The first aspect the two movies had in common was the plot line (story line). They both were about a woman suffering from an incurable mental illness and her journey in managing and dealing with her illness. The other aspect was the genre, as “Temple Grandin” and “Frankie and Alice” were both biographic drama movies. The last aspect as I would consider was the realism. The two movies were inspired by a true story and real characters, provided with the journey of their illness.

Despite their similar aspects, they also varied in another way. First, even though they both suffered from mental illness, however they assorted in the type of the illness. To be more precise, Temple Grandin was autistic, unlike Frankie who was suffering from a multiple personality disorder. The other difference was a little more related to the way both women managed their illness. As Temple Grandin had her strength to self medicate, however Frankie had to rely on a physiologist who really helped her through her mental disorder.

In brief, with the two movies’ similarities and differences, I still really enjoyed both of them. I believe they were pretty much inspiring in their own ways. And I would definitely recommend them to those who haven’t watched them yet, they are definitely a must watch.
