The Elements of Style

I have to find the three MAIN points of the beginning section of the chapter V. An Approach to Style.

(It starts on page 49 to page 51. And stop reading at 1) Place Yourself in The Background.

I came up with

1) Style is an addition to writing that reveals the personality of the writer.
2) Style is a mystery.
3) Writing for the most part is laborious and slow.

I'm not confident if these are correct, so If you come up with other main points, please let me know, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you Emotion: smile

1- Style is an increment to writing; it adds mysterious value to it. The author gives a few examples where a sentence written in a few ways gives an entirely different feel each time. 2- Style not only reflects the spirit of the author but can, in fact, reveal their identity.
