The earth and I? Me and the earth?

Hi all,

Which of the following is most correct, and are the other two acceptable as well? It's to be used as a subtitle.

1. A story about me and the Earth.

2. A story about the Earth and me.

3. A story about the Earth and I.

#3 is not correct. You would not say "A story about I" so you would not say "about the Earth and I."

By convention, we put the other "person" first, so #2 is the best choice.

No. 3 is wrong. You cannot say about I. 1 and 2 are grammatical but you may want to choose one or the other for other reasons. In science our planet is simply Earth without the article just like the other planets: Mars, Jupiter, Venus etc.
