The Dollar - Did you know?

The word "dollar" is a derivation from the name of a big silver coins produced in the town of Joachimsthaler, today Jachymov in former Czechoslovakia. The name of the coin was Joachimsthaler. It was simplified by "taler" and then to "dollar".

I heard about it once. And I also know it because I am from Czech Republic (today it´s not Czechoslovakia, more than 10 years ago Czechoslovakia splitted up to Czech and Slovak Republic to make happen that now we are joined in European Union).

How are you Matress, in Brazil? My parents just enjoy a sunbath at Fortaleza.
