I agree. It's a bit feeble. If they only have removed the statement "HE WEIGHED 10 POUNDS, 8 OUNCES" that was added in the first conversation and capitalized too, it wouldn't be feeble in my opinion. Especially if she meant to focus on his voice as what the third conversation implied.
