The doctor says I am in need of a holiday.

Hello,

It gives me the following ideas.

Could any native speaker check and comment it for me ?

"I am in need of a holiday"
= I am in a necessary holiday.
= I am in a condition in which a holiday is necessary.
= I am in a necessity for a holiday.

Thank you for your help.

The only sentence which comes close is

'I have a condition for which a holiday is necessary.'

Thank you very much that your comment make sense of it to me.

And here, does the "have" mean: experience or use "am in" instead?

Thank you for your help.

The original sentence is a little rough.

The "in" appears but not give the right contains.

It seems to say : I am in a health condition for which a holiday is needed.

(here, the "for " = with regard to)
