I show the different "that" in "to the degree that" at the following sentences. But I am not certain whether it is correct or not.
Could any native speaker make check or comment on it?
(1) Is my partner affectionate to the degree that I expect? (my understanding) Is my partner affectionate to the degree according to the degree ofmy expection?
(2) If we cannot improve subway ventilation effectively, the temperature in the subway will ascend to the degree that passengers are not able to tolerate. (my understanding) ..............the temperature in the subway will ascend to the degree according to the degree in whcih passengers are not able to tolerate.
(3) I intend that all relations associated with my tapestry of ancestry ascend to the degree that they can and also build a strong immune system. (my understanding) ..........to the degree according to the degree in whichthey can and also build a strong immune system.
Thank you for your help.
