The different between nt and nce words. (Explanation needed!)

Hi EFers!

I have simple question here, but it is hardly for me to choose when i intend to use it in my English, especially for my writing.

What is the different (or difference..?) for the words which used nt and nce at the edge of the spelling?

example;

1. different and difference

2. ignorant and ignorance

3. confident and confidence

I really appreciate for your explanation and for that, i am thanking you in advance!
