- I agree with this statement for 2 reasons. First, older ganeration lost their political hegemony. For example, if in the past older ganeration believed that the Shah was a dictator and Khomani was a goog alternative, bitter political events in Iran, showed that the older ganeration were wrong. Therefore, nowadays the older generation don't have as much as influence on younge people as they had in the past. Second, nowadays, young people challenge religion,but in the past it was taboo to criticize religion. For example, one of Iranian researchers announced in VOA, according to his reaserach , the last prophet that is claimed disappeared, actually didn't exisits.
