The difference in pronunciation between əʊ and oʊ

?Is anyone here who can help me catch the difference in pronunciation between "??" and "o?"?

As far as I know, in British English, "go" is pronounced "g??", but in American English, "go" is pronounced "go?".

I hope a native speaker who has a hold of this difference exactly will answer my question.

And I want to hear how this pronouncitian "o"(IPA symbol, not an alphabet) is pronounced as well.
