The difference between the 2 sentences HELP PLEASE

Whats the difference between the 2?

I got back from the party before you did. (you were both at the party)

I got back from the party before you did from your feast. (one was at a party, the other at a feast)

Is the second one correct grammatically?

  • Thank you I think the second sentence is right and the differense is that in the first sentence your interlocutor returned from the party, and in the second he/she returned from the feast (a different social gathering).
