The difference between "seating" and "seat" ?

Please look at the following sentence.
"Reserved seating for the concert is available at the box office for an additional fee."

Why do they use "seating" instead of "seat" when using the verb or the adjective whose meaning is "reservation" ?

Couldn't someone here explain to me the difference between "seating" and "seat" ?

Thank you in advance.
