the difference between " supervisor " and " superintendent " ?

I just wanna know what's the difference between " supervisor " and " superintendent " and where do we use them usually ?

In my experience from commercial construction, a superintendent oversees a specific portion of a project as the highest ranking employee of a subcontractor.

A supervisor answers to the superintendent and supervises employees and work given them from the superintendent.
