In general , Queen Mary Hospital had many significant changes in 4 decades from 1960 to 2000. Some places were removed or updated in order to add new places like cancer center, pharmacy, nursing school.

In 1960, there were four buildings which were a shopping centre, hospital, farmland, car park. After 20 years, the shopping centre and farmland was demolished and three new buildings were built including cancer centre, pharmacy and nursing school.

In 2000, nursing school and car park was demolished a half to expand the cancer centre which has been expanded than its previous size. Hospital was still the same after 4 decades.
