The picture depicts the development of a salmon with many different stages.
A quick look at the diagram reveals that a salmon needs to go through a complex and cycle process, beginning with the spawning and ending with the maturing of the salmon.
The life cycle commences when salmons lay a massive number of eggs, which then go through the incubation process to turn into tiny fish in the second step. As can be seen from the picture, after a certain time of hatching, young salmons will emerge. These immature salmons will undergo a period of rearing in freshwater to grow to a certain size, before being delivered to the estuary, where freshwater meets seawater. Subsequently, they will be transferred to the ocean, where rearing continues. In the next step, the young fish will grow to full maturity. The process culminates with the migration of adult salmons to spawning areas, where the life cycle repeats itself.
