The diagram depicts the process of producing honey by bees. In general, there are seven stages, beginning with the construction of the bee nest and ending with honeybee as the final product.
First, using their saliva, the bees start building a hive that acts as a warehouse and a living space for the bee family. Next, some of them are assigned to track flowers while others stay to protect their home. Then, the groups of bees extract and collect nectar. After that, they bring the nectar to their nest and keep it in storage rooms called cells, which have a hexagon shape while similar in size.
While collector bees venture to find more nectar, the rest stay in their hive, flapping their wings to increase airflow through each cell. Afterward, with water being evaporated, nectar becomes dry and eventually turns into honey. Finally, the honeybee is harvested and ready to be distributed.
