THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM CONTRIBUTED TO ENGLISH BECOMING THE MOST PROMINENT LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD. SOME PEOPLE THINK THIS WILL LEAD TO ENGLISH BECOMING THE ONLY LANGUAGE TO BE SPOKEN GLOBALLY.WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DIS TO HAVING A ONE...

It is true that there are more and more people using English as a major global language with the advancement in tourism and globalization.

This trend has both advantages and disadvantages. This essay shall discuss the pros and cons.

It is great to choose a language becoming the most language in the world due to a number of reasons. To begin with, people tend to use English as the main language. Using a single language rather than multiple local languages are ease of communication in several countries. For example, when you set foot in a new land, you can have difficult communication with residents here. However, if we used a common language such as English, we could easily exchange with each other or people in over the world.

Secondly, when we use a common language, knowledge is transferred faster. Countries all over the world can have a quick and easy exchange of trade which will boost their economy and make them prosperous. it will promote globalization as well as the economic growth of a country

On the other hand, this trend can highlight a number of valid concerns. Firstly, this phenomenon can lead to the extinction of other languages. For example, the Ottoman Turkish disappeared due to the unification of various cultures and languages in the Ottoman Empire. It appears that the dominance of a single language in the world carries a great risk for other cultures. Secondly, it would be a great loss of tourism.
