The definite article

Hello!

I read some news on yahoo today and saw the title "Most dangerous roads in UK". I do not understand why sometimes people say the UK with the definite article and sometimes they do not use the. Would it be wrong if I said Most dangerous roads in the UK? Could you tell me please when I should say the UK and when I should say UK with no article.

Thank you!
