Hello! Could you please help me with understanding of the following: I wonder if "the following day" and "the day after" are interchangeable.
Direct speech: "I'll go there tomorrow".
Reported speech "She told me she would go there the following day/the day after".

Thank you. So when do we usually use this "the day after"? I don't have any problems with "the day after tomorrow", but I'm not sure when and how we can use this one.
