The answer is "B" but I think "D" is also OK. Am I right? Thanks in advance.

Only D is correct. The others all have grammatical mistakes.

B. She gave great impression to the critics. This couldn't have been written by a native speaker. Are you sure you copied it correctly? In this sense, only the countable is idiomatic. "She gave a great impression" works. "She made a great impression" is more common.
"Gave" is more common with the definite article, "She gave the impression that she was completely in control."

Or, as a performer, she might be an impressionist. "She did / gave (offered) an impression of a woman suffering an anxiety attack."

Uncountable would be something like, "These images could only have been made by impression," where "impression" refers to a process.

D. Her performance impressed the critics very much. (Correct and natural.)
